Job summary

Mercury is seeking a senior product leader to own and evolve the reconciliation platform, ensuring accuracy and governance across money movement and core financial systems.

You will partner with Engineering, Finance, and Operations to automate workflows, improve controls, and enable scalable, auditable processes. This role emphasizes platform thinking, reliability, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product management experience on technical platforms or similar complex systems.
• Strong systems thinking and durable platform design.
• Track record of driving ambiguous work from problem to delivery.
• Exceptional cross-functional partnership and prioritization skills.
• Ability to balance near-term execution with long-term platform vision.
• Commitment to correctness and reliability of internal systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Mercury’s reconciliation platform, including work to support the bank charter.
• Partner with engineers to understand data movement, schemas, transformations, dependencies, and failure modes.
• Work with Product, Accounting, Finance, and Reconciliation Operations to define priorities and deliverables.
• Evolve the platform to scale, simplify integration, and enable cross-team use of unified tooling.
• Build tools to detect discrepancies, identify causes, resolve issues, and report accurately.
• Bring structure to cross-functional problems, balancing immediate needs with platform leverage.
• Develop deep understanding of Mercury’s money movement and accounting to inform tradeoffs.
