Job summary

Mercury seeks an experienced product leader to own and evolve our reconciliation platform, ensuring alignment with banking charters and end-to-end auditability. You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, Operations, and Accounting to automate workflows, strengthen controls, and promote reliability.

You will drive a long-term platform vision, balance near-term needs with scalable design, and deliver transparent solutions that support growth while maintaining financial integrity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product management experience on technical platforms, infrastructure, data products, or similarly complex systems.
• Strong systems thinking with reusable primitives and durable platform solutions.
• Experience driving ambiguous work from problem to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Mercury’s reconciliation platform and support the bank charter.
• Partner with engineers to understand data movement, schemas, transformations, dependencies, and failure modes.
• Collaborate with Product teams, Accounting, Finance, and Reconciliation Operations to set priorities and deliverables.
• Evolve the platform to scale, simplify integrations, and enable company-wide benefits from unified tooling.
• Build tools to identify discrepancies, diagnose causes, resolve issues, and report accurately.
• Bring structure to cross-functional problems, balancing immediate needs with long-term leverage.
• Develop deep understanding of Mercury’s money movement and accounting systems to inform tradeoffs.
