Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Product Manager to work with the Team Manager of Product Management for Student Outcomes Technology. You will manage the ongoing improvement of the product portfolio, assess market needs, define roadmaps, monitor development, and communicate with stakeholders.

You will collaborate with software engineering, content development, marketing, sales, and school-facing support teams, applying Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, business, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in product management, business analysis, or similar, preferably in edtech or SaaS.
• Strong ownership and accountability in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to synthesize needs of multiple stakeholders.
• Agile experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively develop and continually refine product roadmaps based on strategy and priorities for platform capabilities.
• Develop deep understanding of customer needs through regular interaction or feedback analysis and translate into clear problem statements.
• Build rapport with business owners, engineering, architecture, and other stakeholders.
• Draft business cases with defined business value and success metrics.
• Support quality management by ensuring non-functional requirements are met (performance, security, reliability).
• Evaluate and share product performance and KPIs.
• Communicate product vision clearly so stakeholders understand scope and behavior of final product.
• Lead change management and recognize impact of change on others.
• Collaborate with research teams to define, measure, and improve efficacy of digital products.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and competitive analyses to identify opportunities.
• Experiment with AI to streamline discovery, planning, and delivery processes without harming outcomes.
