Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Product Manager for AI Enablement within Capital One Shopping. The role focuses on building and owning an agentic analytics platform, leveraging deep data governance and enterprise data capabilities.

The candidate brings hands-on prototyping with AI tools and strong leadership to align cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate operates with minimal direction, drives strategic vision for data products, and communicates clearly to executives to inspire alignment

Qualifications

Deep experience with enterprise data governance (semantic/metrics layers, catalogs, ontologies, warehouse, BI).
Familiarity with modern data stack tools (dbt, LookML, Snowflake, Databricks, Palantir Foundry, Looker, Mode).
Familiarity with AI agents working on structured data (text-to-SQL, tool use, evals, failure modes).
Experience adjudicating metric disputes and making decisions stick.
Builder who prototypes in tools rather than waiting for others to run them.
Comfort with backend/internal platform products used by diverse business and technical teams.
Strategic thought leader who can present to executives and inspire teams.
Strong communicator enabling consensus through clear, concise messaging.
Ability to work with minimal direction in shaping a mandate.
Deep work experience handling large data files with SQL, Python, and/or R.

Responsibilities

Partner with platform engineers to build and operate AI products, starting with an agentic analytics platform.
Understand enterprise data requirements and ensure system compliance with enterprise patterns.
Define what a system needs to know to be trusted (data, definitions, context).
Set boundaries for what agents can do, and prove those boundaries hold in.
