Job summary

Vega in New York is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own meaningful chunks of our AI-enabled claims platform alongside our Product Lead. You’ll work directly with adjusters, customers, and engineers to ship solutions that move the needle.

This role isn’t about supporting a roadmap. You’ll own areas end to end, use data to validate ideas, and push for fast, real-world impact in a fast-growing startup environment that values collaboration and quick iteration.

• 3-5+ years in product, yet still in the weeds by choice.
• Relentlessly curious and bias to action.
• You can read a spreadsheet and a room with equal fluency.

• Use data to promote or kill ideas quickly and iterate on what's working.
• Work with the Product Lead to take on bigger, harder problems.

The Role

Senior PM. New York. Reports to the Product Lead.

Insurance claims are the biggest, least AI-enabled surface area in insurance today - and we're rebuilding it from scratch. You'll own meaningful chunks of that rebuild alongside our Product Lead, working directly with adjusters, customers, and engineers to ship things that actually change how claims get handled.

This isn't a "support the roadmap" role. You'll own specific product areas outright, and be accountable for the outcomes.

We believe there's real value in being together as a team. We come into the office 4 days per week, creating space to collaborate, move quickly, and build strong relationships with the people we work alongside.

What You'll Do

• Own defined product areas end to end - from problem-finding to shipped solution to measured impact.

• Talk to claims adjusters and customers constantly. You should be able to explain how a claim actually moves through the system, not just how it's supposed to.

• Find where AI creates real leverage in your area and get it built. Prototype it, test it with real users, see if it's real - don't just pitch it.

• Partner closely with Engineering, Sales, and Claims to turn your area into a superior customer outcome.

• Use data to promote or kill your own ideas fast, and go all-in on what's working.

• Work closely with the Product Lead to level up - you're building toward owning bigger, harder problems.

Who You Are

• You've shipped product (ideally 0-1 or AI-powered) and know the gap between a slick demo and something real users depend on.

• 3-5+ years in product, yet still in the weeds by choice, not by lack of options.

• Relentlessly curious. You ask "why" until you actually understand it, not until it's socially acceptable to stop.

• Bias to action, no exceptions.

• You can read a spreadsheet and a room with equal fluency.

• You want a Product Lead who'll push you hard and make you better fast - not a hands-off manager.

• Even better if you've worked in a 0-1 environment, a fast-scaling startup, or touched insurance/claims/ops-heavy industries before.
