Perkins Coie LLP seeks a senior-level associate (7-9 years) to join our Chambers-ranked product liability team in the United States. The attorney will defend clients in high-stakes, complex matters with an emphasis on aviation and transportation sectors.

This posting is open to all US offices. Successful candidates will have excellent writing skills, experience managing cases and teams, and the ability to handle complex issues with minimal oversight.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing demonstrated by clerkship, law review, moot court, or publication (≤140 chars).
• Experience managing cases and teams through all stages of litigation, including pre-trial discovery, motions, experts, and trial.
• Ability to manage complex cases with minimal oversight.
• Superior academic credentials and references.
• Commitment to excellent client service and client-centered practice.
• Comfort with analyzing complex legal issues, e.g., jurisdictional, choice-of-law, and admiralty issues.
• Clerkship experience, especially at the appellate level, is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Defend clients in high-stakes, complex litigation matters of national and international significance.
• Manage cases and teams through all stages of litigation, including pre-trial discovery, motions practice, experts, and trial.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction to junior team members.
