Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Rome, NY is seeking a Senior Manager Product Manager to own the lifecycle of Fixed Wing product lines within Power Transmission Systems. You will shape strategy, financial performance, and customer outcomes, owning the roadmap and IPT-driven execution.

You will balance cost, schedule, and performance, influence capacity decisions, and guide cross-functional teams in a heavily matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
• Program or product management experience.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the face of the organization to customers
• Responsible for Profit and Loss of large program and project value streams in sustaining and new development
• Leads risk and opportunity management for programs in production
• Participates in coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, budgets, specifications, and contracts
• Leads programs to develop plans, schedules and budgets
• Establishes KPIs and directs work to achieve targets
• Analyzes data and monitors programs for cost, schedule and technical adherence
• Maintains and presents plans and progress reports to Senior Leadership and Customers
• Implements continuous improvement initiatives (CORE/lean/six sigma)
• Identifies and resolves program issues to ensure production performance
• Leads program work with functional organizations to align with customer objectives
