Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Manager Product Manager for the Fixed Wing product lines within the Power Transmission Systems business at Collins Aerospace Advanced Structures. The role focuses on owning the product roadmap, balancing cost, schedule, performance, and capacity, and chairing the IPT for cost, schedule, and delivery of products.

Significant on-site presence in Rome, NY is required. The ideal candidate has extensive program management experience, aerospace knowledge, and strong leadership

Qualifications

• Must have a university degree (or advanced degree) with substantial experience in program management.
• Experience with manpower planning, scheduling, cost controls, and earned value management.
• Experience in operations and production flow management including supply chain oversight.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing techniques and technical requirements.
• Knowledge of aerospace contracts and policies.
• Experience with proposal preparation and customer negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the face of the organization to customers and oversee large program P&L.
• Lead risk and opportunity management for production programs.
• Coordinate proposals, budgets, and contractual statements to ensure compliance and protect interests.
• Develop program plans, schedules, and budgets; manage scope and performance.
• Establish KPIs and direct teams to achieve targets.
• Monitor data to ensure cost/schedule/technical adherence.
• Report progress to Senior Leadership and customers; drive continuous improvement (CORE/lean/six sigma).
• Interface with customers to define requirements and ensure successful program completion.
