Job summary

Pearson is seeking a senior product manager/strategist to lead content standards and the cross-functional work that aligns taxonomy, metadata, and editorial workflows. You will sit with content BU teams, rebuild workflows, and raise the bar across the business.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years in product management in content, publishing, or content platform domains.
• Hands-on ownership of taxonomy, metadata design, and quality frameworks.
• Experience with authoring, production, and delivery platforms (CMS, DAM, LCMS).
• Built and shipped substantive content systems as the owning PM, including AI tooling.
• Experience in empowered product teams with outcome-focused planning (QBRs/roadmaps).
• Strong discovery, both generative and evaluative, translating to content outcomes.
• Ability to redesign production workflows and prove productivity gains.

Responsibilities

• Embed content build and standards within real business unit work, aligning to global quality data.
• Redesign and shorten production workflows, removing handoffs and rework.
• Partner with content leaders to develop content strategy, planning, and craft.
• Guide teams to plans and artifacts tracing to learner jobs and business outcomes.
• Design and deliver training anchored in real content problems.
• Contribute to content job family and community of practice for practical use.
• Build AI fluency across content teams and prototype automation where valuable.
• Support evaluation, telemetry, and human-in-the-loop design for AI content workflows.
