Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Paper Science or a related technical field; advanced degrees are desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in specialty paper, packaging, coatings, or related manufacturing environments.
• Experience leading new product development and commercialization from concept to market launch.
• Strong understanding of paper manufacturing, converting, and coating technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPD initiatives through a stage-gate process from concept to commercialization and launch.
• Evaluate market opportunities by assessing customer needs, trends, pricing, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to prioritize opportunities aligned with business objectives.
• Define product specs and technical requirements based on customer expectations and quality standards.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable product and process solutions for multiple locations.
• Develop and manage budgets for development activities including trials and commercialization.
• Prepare business cases with revenue projections and ROI analyses.
• Coordinate lab tests, pilot runs, production trials, and customer evaluations.
• Support scale-up and implementation across manufacturing sites.
• Monitor post-launch performance including financial results and value realization.
• Present updates and risk assessments to senior leadership.
