Job summary

Sonos, Inc. in Boston is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support OPEX planning and forecasting within Hardware & Software FP&A. You will partner with cross-functional teams, build financial models, and drive improvements in reporting and processes.

The role requires strong Excel/Sheets skills, US GAAP knowledge, and the ability to communicate insights to stakeholders. This hybrid position expects in-office 3 days a week near the Boston office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or similar field.
• 4+ years FP&A, accounting, consulting, or banking experience.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets modeling with large data analysis.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, accrual accounting, full P&L and budgeting exposure.

Responsibilities

• Drive the annual planning and monthly forecasting process with business partners; maintain planning calendars and templates; explain forecast variances.
• Partner with Accounting during month/quarter-end to ensure accurate accruals and analyze forecast accuracy.
• Become the subject matter expert for OPEX variance explanations and lead storytelling with Core FP&A.
• Contribute to AI adoption within FP&A; create tools/reports for streamlined forecasting and insights.
• Identify and lead process improvement opportunities across FP&A, Accounting, and partners.
• Support ad hoc projects to assist key business partners.
• Collaborate with the business to compile financial projections for long-term planning.
