Job summary

Emerson in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Product Engineer who will lead hands-on technical efforts across planning, integration, and production of complex test and measurement systems. You will bridge product design and manufacturing, ensuring configurable systems are assembled, tested, and delivered safely and on schedule.

The role requires five or more years of experience in product or systems engineering, strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and the ability to work on-site five days

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, computer, systems, manufacturing engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Five+ years of relevant experience in product, systems, manufacturing, test, or NPI engineering.
• Experience troubleshooting multidisciplinary electromechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, specifications, test requirements, and manufacturing docs.
• Structured root-cause analysis and corrective-action experiences.

Responsibilities

• Own product engineering for assigned test-system platforms from NPI through sustaining production.
• Provide hands-on support during system assembly, integration, configuration, calibration, testing, and production release.
• Collaborate with design teams to define requirements and validation plans, improving manufacturability and testability.
• Assess manufacturing readiness by reviewing drawings, BOMs, work instructions, software configurations, and tooling.
• Lead resolution of production constraints and drive corrective actions with verification of effectiveness.
