Job summary

Emerson in Austin, TX is seeking an Application Engineering Manager to lead the application engineering team in supporting global business development and sales teams in technical applications of Test & Measurement products.

You will recruit, mentor, and develop engineers; collaborate with Marketing, Sales & R&D; drive execution excellence and manage change as business needs evolve. Travel up to 25% will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic/international).
• General test and measurement knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, Developing, and Mentoring talent, including development engineers and applications engineers.
• Build and maintain the team’s expertise in Emerson Test & Measurement equipment.
• Collaborate with Business Managers, Marketing, Sales & R&D to align execution with growth strategy.
• Engage with sales to drive customer engagements and shared goals.
• Manage ambiguity and drive change management as strategy evolves.
• Drive engineering execution excellence.
• Handle special projects or tasks assigned by management.
