Job summary

WillScot, North America’s leading provider of portable space solutions, is seeking a Senior Product Engineer in Kentucky. You will oversee design engineering for current and new products, performing force and stress analyses and CAD tasks throughout the design-to-production process.

The role requires Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, statistics for design quality, and proficiency in PLM systems. You will lead prototyping, testing, and program management efforts to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline, 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree in Engineering or related discipline, 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Solidworks or similar CAD software knowledge.
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with on-site prototyping/installations as required.

Responsibilities

• Product design and PDP deliverables across engineering, design, manufacturing, and safety; perform force/stress calculations.
• Create detailed 3D/2D part and assembly specifications and maintain PLM documentation; build BOMs and tooling docs.
• Translate customer and internal requirements into measurable specifications delivering quality performance.
• Develop prototypes and coordinate on-site deployments with offsite partners and Product Management.
• Develop product test plans to ensure safety, repeatability, and CTQ compliance.
• Lead internal/external resources to organize PDP deliverables across functions.
• Assist Product Management and Legal in drafting and pursuing IP opportunities and vetting claims.
• Budget with Program Management for component/product costs and tooling and schedules.
