Job summary

Scrgww is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive design decisions through collaboration with product, engineering, reliability, and systems teams in a fast-paced environment. You will derive architecture from product requirements, prototype, and lead sustaining projects through production launches.

The role requires 3+ years in mechanical engineering, strong fundamentals in mechanics and manufacturing, and experience with 3D CAD, GD&T, and DOE. Travel to manufacturing partners may be required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 3+ years in related industry.
• Experience developing a feature or module of a consumer product.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, electromagnetics, thermodynamics, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in tolerance analyses and addressing DFM challenges; proactive problem solving; DOE creation.
• Skilled in 3D CAD; Basic GD&T; releasing 2D drawings.
• Experience traveling to manufacturing partners.
• Track record of shipping products and collaborating cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Drive design decisions with product, engineering, reliability, and systems teams.
• Derive architecture and specifications from product requirements.
• Prototype quick mock-ups and mechanical models.
• Lead sustaining and continuous improvement projects through release and field operations.
• Collaborate with GSM and Manufacturing to vet supply chain partners.
• Develop CAD databases and drawing packages; hand off to manufacturing.
• Support build and test cycles; travel as needed.
• Perform field failure analysis and solution validation.
• Communicate across cross-functional teams to achieve results.
• Travel to manufacturing partners as required.
