GovSignals is hiring a Product Engineer in New York, NY to expand our product engineering team. You will work directly with the CPO and own entire customer-facing product areas from whiteboard to production.

Our engineers plan, build and ship features daily, and you will own them once they're live. You will fix issues after deployment and shape work from goals rather than strict specs, collaborating across frontend and backend systems.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of full-stack engineering with a proven record of shipping customer-facing features end-to-end.
• Government or defense experience: building software for government users or contracting work.
• Strong frontend TypeScript skills with modern frameworks (Svelte/SvelteKit strongly preferred; React/Next.js acceptable).
• Hands-on Postgres and backend TypeScript experience; you have designed schemas and optimized queries.

Responsabilidades

• Take ownership of high-impact product areas and ship customer-facing improvements daily, from whiteboard to production.
• Rapidly iterate on UI, UX, and core application logic based on real user feedback and production data.
• Decompose ambiguous product goals into clear engineering plans, execute them, and measure outcomes.
• Work with the deployment team and directly with customers to understand where the product falls short and decide what to do about it.
