GovWell in New York City is seeking software engineers to build and scale a configurable platform used by thousands of municipalities. You'll work across the stack, from frontend interfaces to backend services, shipping features that automate permitting and licensing processes.

You will own product areas end-to-end, collaborate with municipal staff and residents, and participate in design discussions. The role offers hybrid work: 3+ days in NYC, with remote flexibility, and exposure to AI-driven

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-stack development experience in enterprises or startups.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and ship full-stack features across GovWell platform.
• Create the configuration layer for diverse municipal setups.
• Own product areas end-to-end to ensure reliability and performance.
• Use feedback and data to decide what to fix next with municipal staff and residents.
• Contribute to design discussions and code reviews shaping the team.
