Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a Senior Manager of Product Development to advance investment product ideas from concept to launch. The role emphasizes asset management knowledge, analytical judgment, and stakeholder management, with exposure to tokenization and digital assets.

The candidate will lead cross-functional initiatives, develop business cases, and coordinate governance across Investments, Distribution, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Legal and Compliance.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in investment product development or related asset management functions.
• 3+ years coordinating cross-functional initiatives and supporting senior-level decision-making.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related field; MBA/CFA/CAIA preferred.
• Experience launching investment products across multiple structures and distribution channels (mutual funds, ETFs, CITs, SMAs, model portfolios, retirement products, alternatives).
• Strong knowledge of product governance, regulatory considerations, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product roadmaps aligned with objectives, client needs and market opportunities.
• Partner with leadership to evaluate growth opportunities across retail, institutional, retirement and wealth channels.
• Contribute to business cases and recommendations for new products, enhancements, partnerships and platform initiatives.
• Coordinate governance, timely execution and successful commercialization of initiatives.
• Prepare governance materials and executive presentations for senior stakeholders.
