Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineer I – Product Development to drive design across engineering disciplines for complex projects, coordinating teams to develop cost-effective new products. Responsibilities include software/control logic development, tests, vendor expediting, and project planning to ensure compliant, high-quality outputs.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience, CAD/CAM and SAP expertise, and the ability to lead teams across locations.

Qualifications

5+ years of engineering experience, including product design and development.
Experience with design for manufacturing methods.
Expertise with solids-based CAD/CAM software and SAP ERP systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MathCAD, RISA2D and RISA3D.
MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to work with cross-site teams.
Software development and control systems experience; HVAC knowledge.
Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time; onsite then hybrid work after probation.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and act as a design expert for multiple product lines.
Coordinate internal and external teams; manage project plans and schedules.
Review and control vendor documents; support site erection and commissioning.
Develop operating manuals and write engineering specifications.
Troubleshoot production equipment and perform product testing.
Support compliance with codes and standards throughout development.
