Job summary
SPX Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineer I - Product Development to work across engineering disciplines on complex projects involving product lines, components, controls, and materials.
You will lead design reviews, coordinate internal and external teams, develop project plans, perform tests, and ensure compliance with codes and standards while driving cost-effective new products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required).
- Master's degree in Engineering or 5+ years of work experience considered.
- Has met all educational requirements and standards to be certified as an EIT after FE exam.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development across engineering disciplines for complex projects across product lines, components, controls, and materials.
- Coordinate internal and external teams to develop cost-effective new products and ensure design integrity.
- Perform engineering calculations and lead design reviews with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Product Management, Sales, and Customer Support.
- Develop project plans and manage tasks to meet schedule; control vendor-supplied documents.
- Write engineering specifications; verify drawings for new designs and product standards.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and improve production equipment; conduct product tests and verify software and data development.
