Job summary

Checkr is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape end-to-end experiences for its Verifications products, including employment, education, criminal records, and health testing. You’ll work with Product and Engineering to define problems, craft roadmaps, and deliver high‑quality, user‑friendly work across candidate, employer, and internal workflows.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of product design experience (or equivalent).
• Portfolio shows end‑to‑end thinking: framing, exploration, rationale, collaboration, iteration, impact.
• Able to distill complex domains into simple, usable flows.
• Strong product instincts balancing user needs, business goals, and constraints.
• Collaborative, cross‑functional environment; influencing decisions with clarity.
• Capable of lightweight independent research and partnering with researchers when available.

Responsibilities

• Own design for Verifications product areas (drug & occupational health testing) across candidate, employer, and internal experiences from discovery to launch.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define problems, shape roadmaps, and deliver solutions.
• Simplify complex workflows (verification requests, document collection, consent, appointment scheduling, status visibility) into clear experiences.
• Leverage AI-assisted design to prototype and validate; implement lightweight UI changes in code when appropriate.
• Design for trust, transparency, accessibility, and confidence in a regulated domain.
• Combine qualitative research, stakeholder input, and product data to propose, test, and refine solutions.
• Create interaction and visual designs across responsive web/platform surfaces with clear specs for engineering.
• Lead workshops, design reviews, and storytelling to move teams from ambiguity to decisions.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, Compliance/Legal, Data, and Ops to ensure real‑world feasibility.
• Contribute to design systems and standards for consistency and speed.
