Job summary

Checkr, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape end-to-end experiences for Verifications products, spanning employment, education, criminal records, and driving records.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders to design workflows balancing candidate ease, employer clarity, and operational realities. You’ll drive discovery through execution, bring strong craft, and help the team make great decisions with clear thinking and communication.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of product design experience with a track record of shipped work.
• Portfolio demonstrates end-to-end thinking: framing, exploration, rationale, collaboration, iteration, impact.
• Able to distill complex domains into simple, usable flows.
• Strong product instincts balancing user needs, business goals and technical constraints.
• Experience in collaborative, cross-functional environments and clear decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Own design for Verifications product areas across candidate, employer, and internal ops from discovery to launch.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define problems, roadmaps, and high-quality solutions.
• Simplify complex verification workflows into clear, user-friendly experiences.
• Prototype and validate rapidly using AI-assisted design and lightweight code changes when suitable.
• Design for trust, accessibility, and transparent UI in a regulated domain.
• Translate insights from research and data into testable solutions.
• Create interaction and visual design across responsive web and platforms with clear specs for engineers.
• Lead workshops and design reviews to align teams and drive decisions.
