Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape Spruce, our native mobile banking experience.

You’ll lead end-to-end design for iOS and Android, translating customer needs into clear, trusted experiences that help users manage their money confidently. You’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering, Content, Legal and Compliance, conduct research and usability testing, prototype, validate, and iterate.

Qualifications

6+ years of product-design experience, with complex mobile products.
Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking and outcomes.
Experience designing native iOS and Android experiences.
Advanced proficiency in Figma and developer-ready design.
Experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate design workflow.
Strong accessibility and inclusive-design knowledge.
Experience planning or partnering on user research and usability testing.
Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions.
Strong cross-functional collaboration across Product, Engineering, Legal and others.
Bachelor’s degree in design or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end product design for Spruce mobile features and journeys.
Translate needs into opportunities and intuitive experiences.
Frame problems, map journeys, prototype, validate, and deliver.
Plan and synthesize customer research and usability testing.
Define native iOS and Android experiences aligned with platform best practices.
Establish scalable patterns and interaction standards.
Leverage AI tools to accelerate exploration and documentation.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Content throughout discovery and release.
Partner with Legal and Compliance to meet regulatory requirements.
Review experiences for quality, accessibility, and consistency.
Support release readiness and issue triage.
Communicate design strategy and risks to stakeholders.
Facilitate critiques and design reviews.
Champion design quality across product teams.
