Job summary

Coinbase is a remote-first company building the future of finance. As a Senior Product Designer on the Developer Foundations team, you will shape the end-to-end experience for developers building on Coinbase, including the Developer Portal, documentation, API dashboards, and onboarding flows that drive adoption.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design experience, with at least 2 years designing developer tools or documentation.
• Ownership of end-to-end design for complex, multi-surface products.
• Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system with scalable thinking.
• Proficiency in Figma for design delivery, prototyping and system management.
• Strong user research integration into design decisions with measurable outcomes.
• Ability to responsibly use generative AI with human oversight to improve workflow.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design for the Developer Portal, including docs, API dashboards, onboarding and self-service tooling.
• Lead design system contributions for developer-facing surfaces for consistency and scalability.
• Partner with Product, Engineering and Developer Relations to identify friction and ship improvements.
• Drive user research and usability testing with external developers to validate decisions.
• Shape AI-powered features in the Portal, such as intelligent search and contextual guidance.
• Maintain design specs and prototypes in Figma as the source of truth for engineering.
