Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Designer on the Developer Foundations team. You will shape end-to-end experiences for developers building on Coinbase, owning the Developer Portal, docs, dashboards, and onboarding flows to drive adoption.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Developer Relations, lead design system work, conduct user research with external developers, and iterate on AI-powered features while maintaining design specs in Figma.

Qualifications

5+ years of product design experience, including developer tools.
Ownership of end-to-end design for complex, multi-surface products.
Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system.
Proficiency in Figma for design delivery, prototyping, and design system management.
Strong track record of integrating user research into design decisions.
Experience applying generative AI with human oversight to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end design for the Developer Portal, spanning docs, APIs dashboards, onboarding flows, and self-service tooling.
Lead design system contributions for developer-facing surfaces, ensuring consistency and scalability.
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Developer Relations to identify friction points and ship improvements.
Drive user research and usability testing with external developers to validate decisions.
Shape AI-powered features surface within the Portal, including intelligent search and code-generation experiences.
Build and maintain design specs, prototypes, and interaction patterns in Figma as the source of truth.
