Job summary

Dash Bio is seeking a Senior/Principal Product Designer to spearhead the user experience across our growing digital ecosystem. You will own the design of portals, dashboards, and tools used by external biopharma clients, while refining internal interfaces powering our lab automation.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience in product design, UI/UX, and frontend development; principal level requires 7+ years with architecture influence.
• Mastery of modern design tools (Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop) and a portfolio with B2B SaaS, client portals, or data-rich apps.
• AI tools usage (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.) to accelerate design workflows.
• Solid understanding of web capabilities (HTML, CSS, React) for feasible designs.
• Data-driven design experience handling analytics and reporting for external users.
• Excellent communication to articulate decisions and collaborate with engineers and product managers.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Product Design: Lead UI/UX design for external client-facing web apps from research to high-fidelity prototypes and testing.
• Prototyping & Iteration: Create interactive mocks to communicate concepts and rapidly iterate with stakeholders.
• Data Visualization: Design complex, interactive visualizations for bioanalytical results.
• Design System Ownership: Evolve our design system and component library for consistency and speed.
• Complex UI Architecting: Partner with engineering to tackle non-standard UI challenges.
• Design Quality Assurance: Conduct UI reviews to ensure polish and usability.
• Brand Liaison & Marketing Support: Coordinate with external brand agency and marketing for assets and campaigns.
