Job summary

OPW, a Dover company and leader in fluid-handling solutions, seeks a Product Design Engineer at Midland Manufacturing to lead NPD for valves and fittings. You will manage cross-functional teams, ensure design control, and drive products from concept through approvals and testing.

The role requires advanced knowledge of fluid dynamics, mechanical design, and manufacturing techniques, with mentoring responsibilities and collaboration with AAR/regulatory processes for product approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Five+ years' experience in NPD of fluidic systems desired.
• Experience in valve design and manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead NPD for valves and fittings.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across management, engineering, QA, manufacturing, and procurement.
• Document all NPD activities and ensure stage-gate compliance.
• Communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Provide end-to-end leadership of NPD with mentoring of junior engineers.
