Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer in Buffalo, NY to design precision products and assemblies from concept to production release. You will work closely with customers and manufacturing teams, building CAD models, performing analyses, and validating designs to ensure reliable performance.

The role requires experience with GD&T, tolerances, and design verification, and offers collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive successful product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Progressive experience designing mechanical products through production release.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, detailed drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering change control.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, mechanical interfaces, and design verification.
• Ability to independently manage technical work and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements and application conditions into product specifications and detailed design concepts.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, production drawings, bills of materials, and design documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, and design risk assessments.
• Design components and assemblies with temperature, pressure, sealing, interfaces, and manufacturability considerations.
• Develop prototype and validation plans, evaluate test results, and refine designs to meet performance requirements.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and resolve technical issues with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
• Support new product introduction, engineering changes, and troubleshooting of production or field performance concerns.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and improve design practices and reusable engineering knowledge.
