Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a senior engineer to lead product configuration for the 5000F gas turbine fleet in Orlando and support the Charlotte-based team. You will manage structures, BOMs, and engineering changes, and approve critical drawings and data while guiding modernization efforts.

You will develop engine models and 2D/3D layouts, collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure on-time, compliant delivery and robust performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in product definition, configuration management, or design engineering.
• Experience managing BOMs and engineering change processes.
• Experience developing engine/large assembly models and product definitions.
• Proficiency with PLM/ERP systems such as Teamcenter, SAP, Windchill.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain product structures, engine assemblies, and baselines for the 5000F platform.
• Drive configuration control activities and support change management.
• Approve engineering drawings, BOMs, and data; validate form, fit and function.
• Develop engine models, layouts, and longitudinal configurations for new units and modernization.
• Create and update 2D/3D drawings for large turbine components and assemblies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Support design reviews and communicate technical, schedule, and cost impacts.
