Job summary

Siemens Energy's Gas Services division in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to solve complex issues on gas turbine combustion components and to drive development of robust manufacturing and repair processes.

You will collaborate with design and service engineers, lead process development, and apply GD&T, fixture design, and Lean/Six Sigma to deliver reliable, scalable production for new product introductions.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field; new grads welcome.
• 2+ years manufacturing engineering experience in fabrication and machine shop.
• Ability to read complex drawings with GD&T; experience with fixture design, sheet metal forming, fabrication, welding for nickel-based materials preferred.
• Strong problem-solving with root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma).
• Knowledge of SAP or MRP systems and Siemens NX CAD to support manufacturing activities.
• Authorized to work in the United States without future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and lead manufacturing and repair process development and improvement projects on gas turbine combustion components.
• Develop and implement product-specific manufacturing and repair processes using sound engineering methods.
• Ensure processes are defined and communicated to the shop floor via instructions and project briefings.
• Provide technical guidance and training to operators, technicians, and engineers on fixtures, tooling, and equipment.
• Collaborate with design and service engineering on new product development and introduction.
