General Motors Company is seeking a Senior Product Cybersecurity Engineer for Secure Product Architecture in Warren/Michigan. This hybrid, full-time role focuses on protecting in-vehicle systems, trust boundaries, and access to vehicle functions across current and next-generation software-defined platforms.

You will own and evolve security designs for diagnostics, gateways, and firewalls, translating threat assessments into clear security requirements.

Qualifications

• Six+ years in product/embedded/vehicle cybersecurity.
• Experience translating threat assessments into security requirements and policies.
• Proven ability to lead security design and implementation reviews.

Responsabilités

• Own and evolve security design for in-vehicle diagnostics, gateways, firewalls, and in-vehicle networks.
• Translate threat assessments and architectural decisions into testable security requirements for vehicle systems and supplier components.
• Define and maintain security policies controlling diagnostic access, trust boundaries, and traffic between in-vehicle domains.
• Develop, maintain, and mature in-vehicle firewall and gateway policies as platforms evolve.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, validation, service, and supplier teams to ensure correct security controls.
• Lead reviews and drive improvements to diagnostic access, gateway security, and policy enforcement.

Formation

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience
