Job summary

DigitalOcean seeks a Senior Corporate Counsel, Product to tackle complex legal challenges at the forefront of AI and cloud computing. You will advise product, engineering, and go-to-market teams across the lifecycle from concept to global launch, partnering with Security, Privacy, and Regulatory teams.

Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, you will shape strategy, draft and negotiate sophisticated agreements, ensure compliance with US and international privacy laws, and develop

Qualifications

• Active US bar license required.
• 8+ years of in-house SaaS/PaaS/IaaS product experience.
• Experience counseling AI product and engineering teams across lifecycle.
• Ability to translate legal advice into actionable guidance for product teams.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary partner for Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations.
• Assess legal risks in product development across the lifecycle.
• Address privacy, regulatory, licensing, and IP concerns.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage complex commercial and data protection agreements.
• Contribute to self-service legal playbooks and automated workflows.
