Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel, Datacenters and Infrastructure to lead high-value datacenter agreements and drive outcomes for AI/cloud initiatives. You will partner with datacenter procurement, engineering, finance, tax, and compliance to structure and finalize complex contracts.

The role requires JD with active bar admission and 8+ years of legal experience, including in-house work on large-scale infrastructure. This is a remote role with global scope and growth potential.

Qualifications

• JD required with active U.S. bar membership.
• 8+ years of legal experience including in-house work on datacenter or large-scale infra projects.
• Experience with datacenter contracts from developer/provider or tenant perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal contact for datacenter agreements to signature (LOIs, MSAs, order forms, ancillary agreements).
• Draft, review, and negotiate data center capacity leasing, colocation, design/build, facilities/operations and maintenance, and infrastructure procurement agreements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on deal structuring across procurement, engineering, finance, tax, and compliance.
• Provide business-focused counseling on risk allocation, supplier risk, and performance remediation.
• Support international expansion by coordinating with local counsel on jurisdictional requirements.
• Develop scalable legal tools including templates, playbooks, and approval matrices to speed contracting.
• Contribute to other high-priority legal work as needed.
