Job summary

Electrolux Consumer Products, Inc. in North America is seeking a Senior Product Care Engineer/Specialist to lead design, validation, and cost-out improvements for the plastic tub dishwasher platform. You will collaborate with Global R&D and regional teams to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions.

Responsibilities include creating CAD models (Catia/NX), DFMEA and DVP&R, conducting root-cause analyses, and driving VA/VE initiatives with suppliers to improve quality and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in product development.
• Experience with injection-molded plastic part design and component validation.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, GD&T, tolerance analysis, reliability engineering, and DVP&R.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, redesign and validation of mechanical/electromechanical components for the plastic tub dishwasher platform.
• Develop new components aligned with global design standards, shared modules, and engineering rules.
• Create engineering documentation including CAD models (Catia/NX experience preferred), drawings, specifications, DFMEA, and DVP&R.
• Direct Material Excellence (DME) – Cost Out: Serve as DME engineering owner for assigned plastic tub dishwasher components and subsystems.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement cost-out initiatives through VA/VE activities, supplier proposals, and design optimization.
• Lead structured root cause analysis and corrective action for field or manufacturing issues.
• Coordinate with Global R&D to share learnings, integrate global quality tools, and align on lessons learned for common components.
• Cross-Regional Engineering Alignment: Partner with Global R&D teams (EU, LATAM, APAC) to ensure platform components meet global product architecture standards.
• Exchange design solutions, test methods, and validation learnings for common modules.
• Drive reapplication of successful global solutions into the North America plastic tub dishwasher platform.
