Job summary

Sysco Central Florida, Inc. is seeking a Produce Category Manager to drive profitable sales growth for the Produce category across the region.

You will collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Revenue Management, and other entities to deploy category strategies, provide pricing guidance, and support customers with regulatory and product information. You will lead assortment decisions, train Sales Consultants, and coordinate onboarding of new customers while maintaining product availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 3+ years of management/professional experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Significant produce industry experience in sales, merchandising or operations preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong Excel skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategy for the Produce category within the region.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Revenue Management and across entities to drive profitable sales growth.
• Provide training, product information, regulatory guidance, and market cost guidance to customers and internal teams.
• Manage product assortment and SKU optimization aligned with regional demand; ensure product availability.
• Design and communicate pricing strategies using contract programs and market insights.
• Lead category training and provide timely communications about market conditions and product availability.
• Coordinate onboarding of new customers and address regional CMU/LCC needs.
• Oversee quality control by ensuring SOPs and QA/Operations collaboration for inbound/outbound category products.
• Mitigate expenses and shrink through inventory controls and supplier coordination.
