Job summary

USCG CG-AIR is seeking a Senior Procurement Technician to provide advanced procurement support and to aid in developing the capabilities of Procurement Technician personnel. The role combines hands-on procurement work with training and development of standardized resources.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of Government purchasing procedures and experience supporting complex or higher-value small-purchase actions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of procurement regulations, procedures, operations and programs for procurement functions.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement personnel with administrative and technical acquisition activities.
• Process or support complex and higher-value small-purchase procurement actions.
• Provide training and technical guidance to Procurement Technicians.
• Provide job-shadowing and hands-on developmental assistance to Procurement Technician personnel.
• Develop and maintain procurement training materials.
• Develop and maintain standardized procurement templates.
• Assist personnel in applying procurement regulations, procedures, and established purchasing processes.
• Support CG-AIR product lines and divisions with procurement documentation and recurring acquisition requirements.
• Assist with resolving unusual or non-routine procurement support issues.
• Coordinate with Government procurement personnel when technical or procedural guidance is required.
