Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• At least four years of purchasing, procurement, or contract management experience.
• CTCD certification preferred.
• Experience with state procurement methods and open competition.

Responsibilities

• Attends work on a regular schedule as required.
• Evaluates complex requisitions for compliance and clarifies requirements with customers.
• Assists in vendor research and drafts competitive specifications for services.
• Directs preparation of complex competitive solicitations in line with laws and HHSC policies.
• Identifies providers, analyzes bids to determine best value.
• Enters requisitions and maintains procurement files in a tracking system.
• Prepares procurement documentation and uses automated systems.
• Provides procurement training and responds to inquiries.
