Job Summary

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to develop and implement procurement strategies, support compliance, manage supplier relationships, and optimize procurement processes to meet company goals.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Accountabilities

• Develop procurement strategies aligned with company vision at site, regional, and global levels.
• Ensure compliance with procurement processes and increase stakeholder engagement.
• Support long-term and annual procurement goals in collaboration with site teams.
• Participate in strategic planning, focusing on cost, safety, risk, and innovation.
• Improve turnaround and capital project procurement processes.
• Leverage industry knowledge to gain competitive advantages.
• Contribute to risk management and support a unified company approach.
• Manage supplier relationships to enhance value and alignment.
• Drive process standardization and optimization across procurement functions.

Operational Accountabilities

• Participate in site meetings and support safety, reliability, and community initiatives.
• Plan and support turnarounds and major projects.
• Develop sourcing strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Monitor procurement KPIs and implement policy and process improvements.
• Support inventory optimization and supplier qualification efforts.
• Lead sourcing, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Manage supply base administration, including new supplier onboarding and performance evaluation.
• Coach team members and manage supply agreements to ensure compliance and performance.
• Implement supplier performance management and continuous improvement processes.
• Handle claims proactively and resolve issues efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum six years of procurement or related experience.
• Proven results in complex organizational settings.
• Experience in regional strategy deployment and supplier relationship management.
• Procurement or supply management certification preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement systems like SAP and Coupa.
• Experience in heavy industrial environments, including chemical manufacturing and capital projects.
