Job summary

MetLife’s US Procurement Partnering team seeks a Sr. Consultant, Procurement Partnering to lead end-to-end sourcing across indirect categories, including AI-driven deals, and to partner with VP+ stakeholders. You will shape category strategies, manage complex negotiations, and deliver value across cost, risk, and supplier performance.

This is a hybrid role with in-office expectations. You will leverage data and market intelligence to guide sourcing strategies and drive adoption of procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
• 7–10+ years in indirect procurement, sourcing, or commercial strategy.
• Proven ability to independently lead complex sourcing initiatives ($1M–$10M+).
• Experience across non-tech categories with exposure to technology, SaaS, and AI sourcing.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with VP-level stakeholders.
• Experience with procurement tools including Zip, Ariba, Workday, CLM, Copilot, Claude.

Responsibilities

• Strategic sourcing leadership across multiple categories, including tech-adjacent deals.
• Independently lead high-value negotiations with structured frameworks and benchmarking insights.
• Partner with VP+ stakeholders and build strong cross-LOB relationships.
• Develop category strategies using market intelligence and analytics to track savings and value realization.
