Job summary

NextGen Federal Systems is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager / Analyst to support our DHS customer in Washington, DC. You will lead procurement planning, develop SOWs, IGCEs, and acquisition strategies, and ensure compliance with FAR and DHS policies.

The role requires 15+ years of federal procurement experience, a Bachelor's degree in acquisition or related field (Master's preferred), PMP certification preferred, and strong leadership, documentation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred.
• PMI PMP certification preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in federal procurement regulations and DHS/DoD acquisition environments.

• Ability to manage multiple complex procurement actions under tight timelines.
• Travel required.

Responsibilities

Job description

NextGen Federal Systems is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager / Analyst to work with us supporting our DHS customer in Washington, DC. The Senior Procurement Manager / Analyst provides strategic and operational procurement support for the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) Program. This position oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of procurement actions in accordance with federal acquisition regulations. The Senior Procurement Manager / Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring compliance, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of contract requirements in support of the mission.

Duties include but are not limited to

• Lead procurement planning activities, including development of Statements of Work (SOW), IGCEs, and acquisition strategies.

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in acquisition, supply chain management, or a closely relateddiscipline.
• Master’s preferred
• Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in the following:
• In-depth understanding of federal procurement regulations and practices.
• Experience with DHS or DoD acquisition environments.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex procurement actions under tight timelines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Positive adjudication from a CBP Background Investigation.
• Position requires some travel.
