Job summary

NextGen Federal Systems seeks a Procurement Analyst to support the DHS customer in Washington, DC. The role focuses on strategic and operational procurement, ensuring FAR and DHS compliance, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of contract requirements.

The candidate should have 7+ years in federal procurement, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and SharePoint. Some travel is expected as part of duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in acquisition, supply chain management, or a closely related discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• PMI PMP certification preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of federal procurement/regulatory experience.
• In-depth understanding of federal procurement regulations and practices.
• Experience with DHS or DoD acquisition environments.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex procurement actions under tight timelines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist procurement planning activities, including development of Statements of Work (SOW), IGCEs, and acquisition strategies.
• Assist with the preparation and review of procurement documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with FAR and DHS policies.
• Work with contracting officers and program stakeholders to support timely and effective contract awards.
• Assist with procurement status reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Ensure cost efficiency through market research, vendor competition, and contract optimization.
