Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking an experienced Procurement Director to oversee the procurement of direct materials and services for the Optical Solutions Division, with responsibilities totaling over $50M.

You will manage supplier performance, negotiate master agreements, and lead a team of buyers, ensuring ITAR, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in SCM and a minimum of 10 years purchasing in manufacturing; Oracle ERP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• At least 10 years purchasing experience in fast-moving manufacturing with ERP usage, Oracle preferred.
• U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per ITAR 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement of direct materials and indirect products totaling over $50M.
• Monitor procurement metrics including cost savings and supplier performance.
• Manage Master Supply Agreements and supplier qualifications with QA/Eng.
• Develop and train ERP procurement processes; ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
• Lead procurement department, supervise IR Buyers, and conduct annual reviews.
• Coordinate supplier visits to assess pricing, lead times, and new products.
