Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to defining, enabling, and executing the manufacturing process strategy across the Filtration and Separation Division network. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure process capability, capacity alignment, and cost competitiveness.

The role emphasizes optimization, automation implementation, and process validation, requiring a Bachelor’s in engineering and 5+ years in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or related field).
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a regulated industry (pharma/medical device).
• Experience with process validation, equipment qualification, and change control.
• Experience with automation systems, PLCs, and manufacturing control systems.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for manufacturing process capability and network readiness.
• Optimize production processes, implement new technologies, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliant, high-quality product manufacture.
• Manage process improvement projects to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise for new product introductions.
• Develop and validate manufacturing processes.
• Implement automation solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Production, and other departments.
