Qualifications

• Broad knowledge and understanding of process safety for operations and maintenance activities.
• Technical knowledge and relevant experience in evaluating cost effective means for developing a training program as well as training program implementation considering risk and technical proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review development plans and design packages at each stage gate for process safety adequacy.
• Ensure process safety deliverables are complete before the project advances.
• Apply inherently safer design principles early to hazards in the design stage.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil/geotechnical, controls, and mine planning disciplines to close safety gaps.
• Review hazard studies and verify that risk is reduced to ALARP.
• Verify design compliance with codes, standards, and company specifications.
