Job summary

WSP is seeking a Process Piping Designer to join our Power Generation Team, with location options including Overland Park, KS and other US sites. The role involves developing piping models, equipment arrangements, and field verifications on established sites and in construction.

You will work with engineers to resolve design issues, produce precise drawings, and maintain QA standards across moderate to large projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of equivalent experience in a design/drafting role.
• 10+ years of post-education experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Experience with 3D modeling using Hexagon CADWorx or Smartplant.
• Strong knowledge of codes, regulations and QA/QC practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop process piping models and equipment layouts with minimal direction.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve design details and prepare precise drawings.
• Lead drafting tasks and ensure QA and contract compliance across projects.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators and internal teams throughout project phases.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff as needed.
