Job summary
WSP USA is seeking a talented Process Piping Designer to join our Power Generation Team across multiple U.S. locations including Boise, ID.
The role involves developing process piping models, annotating drawings, and coordinating with engineers to deliver accurate, code-compliant designs. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree (or 10+ years of related experience) and extensive experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation, 3D modeling (CADWorx/SmartPlant), and Navisworks, with strong QA/QC and
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in closely related discipline or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of design/drafting experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- 3D modeling design experience using Hexagon CADWorx or Hexagon Smartplant.
- Coordination model experience with Navisworks.
- Strong QA/QC and design delivery capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop process piping models and equipment arrangements.
- Prepare drawings with high precision for moderate to large-scale projects.
- Collaborate with engineers to resolve design details and discrepancies.
- Lead drafting/design support and guide junior staff as needed.
- Ensure designs comply with codes and project standards.
