Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a highly analytical Yield and Process Control Innovation Engineer to monitor wafer manufacturing processes, drive yield enhancement, and investigate excursions. You will use SPC, defect data, and parametric testing to identify root causes and implement robust solutions with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong analytical skills, writing and presenting abilities, and experience with CMOS fabrication processes and electrical testing.

Qualifications

• B.E. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or Applied Physics.
• Understanding of CMOS fabrication processes and device physics.
• Understanding of electrical parametric testing and defect inspection mechanisms.
• Strong writing and presentation skills; ability to communicate technical data clearly.
• Able to manage multiple high-priority investigations with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wafer manufacturing processes and drive yield enhancement.
• Investigate process excursions and implement CAPA to resolve variations.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize SPC charts and sampling plans.
• Present yield/defectivity metrics to management and cross-functional teams.
