Job summary

Sika Corporation is seeking a Process Engineering Manager in Lyndhurst, NJ to lead all process engineering efforts within Lyndhurst Operations. The role is hands-on, overseeing process design, implementation and operation to improve efficiency, cut costs, boost sustainability and maximize profitability.

As a member of the Lyndhurst Leadership Team, you will staff the department, direct plant functions, lead lean improvements, manage capital projects and mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• Must be a well-educated manufacturing leader who is capable of pushing forward the necessary strategies and programs to increase quality, productivity and customer service.
• B.S. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 years or more manufacturing experience in process engineering.
• 5 years or more experience in team building and management.
• Excellent communication skills, characterized by sincerity, persuasiveness and clarity of thought.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lyndhurst Operations process engineering to support product manufacturing.
• Structure and staff the process engineering department with polyurethane sealant and adhesive manufacturing expertise.
• Direct all plant functions of Process Engineering to produce high quality products and improve process controls.
• Manage other process engineers and participate in capital expenditure planning.
• Lead process improvements toward state-of-the-art, compliant processes and reduce COGs.
• Oversee lean analyses to improve production, error proofing, and packaging efficiency.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis and transfer corrective actions to the plant floor.
• Coordinate and write technical reports on development findings.
• Assist project management to determine activities, timelines and resources.
• Support corporate developments and other legal documents to execute work plans.
• Contribute technical input into in-house project selection, design and layout.
• Continually seek and evaluate new potential technologies for process optimization.
• Complete other assignments as assigned by Senior Management.
