Job summary
Sika AG in Lyndhurst, NJ seeks a senior scientist to develop new products and provide technical support to production plants and customers. You will execute DOE and design FMEA for product development and participate in long-term technology planning. Expect travel up to 10% and interaction with suppliers and QA teams.
The role requires a chemistry/polymer background with hands-on testing, data analysis, and SAP workflow experience to ensure quality and reliable product performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Geology, or related field with 5 years of experience or Master’s with 3 years.
- Experience must include PCP, DOE techniques, concrete admixtures formulation, QC for production and for customers, product specification creation, concrete and cement chemistry, and concrete testing (slump, air, setting times, compressive strengths).
- Experience with analytical instruments (HPLC, FTIR) and wet methods like titration; MDG-M code creation; SAP system knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Develop new products and provide technical support to production plants and customers.
- Independently develop new products according to customer specifications.
- Develop DOE and FMEA for product development.
- Participate in three-year or long-term product/technology planning.
- Publish reports, trip reports and monthly updates on approved projects.
- Maintain a safe, tidy, and harassment-free work environment.
