Job summary

Kimberly-Clark USA is seeking a Lead Process Engineer to support Beech Island tissue operations. You’ll drive process improvements across safety, quality, production and cost, lead root-cause analyses, and guide capital projects from concept to launch.

You’ll collaborate with teams across operations and engineering to sustain gains and deliver reliable performance. The role emphasizes strong problem solving, data-driven decision making, and hands-on leadership in a 24/7 manufacturing environment

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or Pulp & Paper Science from an accredited college or university.
• 3+ years experience in an engineering role, which may include co-op or internship experience.
• Cross-functional teamwork to achieve results and communicate clearly with others.
• Self-motivation to deliver results with minimal direction.
• Strong organization and time management, and attendance in planning meetings.
• Experience using manufacturing analysis tools such as SPC, DOE, process capability, Six Sigma, and lean.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment and travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Providing process engineering support for the Beech Island CTec Tissue Machine assets for Kleenex, driving daily safety, quality, production, delivery and cost.
• Driving improvements in Overall Equipment Efficiency by increasing speed, reducing waste, and minimizing delays.
• Leading structured problem solving and root-cause analysis to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Optimizing tissue manufacturing processes using best practices, centerlines, digital metrics, and dashboards.
• Leading trials focused on quality, performance improvement, and cost reduction with successful implementation.
• Leading continuous improvement planning including TIP cycles and asset metrics development.
• Leading capital and major maintenance projects from concept through implementation.
• Collaborating across operations, maintenance, engineering and capital teams while sharing expertise.
